Selling a house - to decorate or not?

  • Sounds just what I am looking for. I hate all this modern open plan living and much prefer the character of an older house. Decor and all. Im sure someone will fall in love with it. Post a link if you are able

Thanks - it will make a lovely home for someone. 2 bedroom dormer semi with a lovely garden and plenty of space in the master to create an en-suite. It has amazing views over farmland from the upstairs dormer window. I I lived in it I would make the window even bigger! And decorate the dining room LOL! I have no doubt a buyer would replace the kitchen, but it is perfectly functional and clean as it is to tide someone over while they moved in. There is no link as it is not on the market yet.

By the way, I wont be putting a link on as it is not lived in, but my auntie lives next door so she keeps an eye on the place for me! Got to be safe when posting on the internet and all that!
  • I understand your concerns. However, on rightmove there are lots of empty properties so if it goes on there for marketing people will see it. Anyway Im still sure with what you have said that a sale will happen.

We have just had exactly the same situation.
Took the agents advise and the house sold in less than a week for full asking price. Probably because it was priced reasonably initially
