Hi Tbag,
Rather then getting a loan to pay it off, have you looked into switching it to an interest free credit card? This way you would save on the interest.

hi sarah no i have not thought about that at all, could you explain for me?
sorry for being thick lol0 -
It's simple...easie peasy..
Most card companies offer 0% on balance transfer.
Basically, you apply for a new card. If accepted, your new card company pays off this 3k debt (subject to ur new limit etc). i.e. debt is transferred over to the new card at a 0% rate for 12months for example. If you can clear this balance in 12 month, you pay no interest. After this period, if any balance still exist you are charged say 15.9%
I suggest you review the main section of this site. There is a section of balance transfer.
You would see recommendation of card companies etc0 -
thanks guys.
which is the easiest card to get accepted on for a balance transfer?
would my bank give me the loan ie halifax? even though i have a halifax credit card?
cheers0 -
You may be tempted to spend on the card again so you'd be stuck with a loan and credit card payments.
You can check out the credit card section on the main part of the website to see if there is anything that might be suitable for you.Started PADdin' 13/04/09 paid £7486.66 - CC free 02/11/10
