Sorry i dissagree with your friend, i have had my Henry about 7 months, its a brilliant little machine BUT ITS NO GOOD AT GETTING UP DOG HAIRS!! I have just had to go out to buy an upright for the dog hairs. Hubby was impressed with this one that was on special offer at Makro. It cost £40 + vat and is far superior in build quality than any of my Hoovers, Dysons, Panasonics that i have had over the years. I love it cause it has a fold down handle and is light.recovering_spendaholic wrote:My friend swears by her O Henry machine and she says that loads of people who are in the cleaning business say they are really good, and not too pricey either. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I love my Henry, it's the best hoover I have ever had and I have two very hairy cats. I just flip the brushes down on the cleaning head thingy if I find some stubborn fur.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

I'm pleased to see this thread as I currently have a Dyson which used to be so good, and now isn't, and a Henry.
The Henry IMO is no use for cat hair, but is great for plaster dust!
The Dyson (DC07) was great for cat hair, but no good for plaster dust, LOL!
I need a lightweight hoover which is ace at cat hair/dust removalGC - March 2024 -0 -

I have both a dyson and a hairy dog and mine works brilliantly.
have you tried cleaning the filters or changing them? It makes a big difference I have found.
Also if it is not working properly and it is fairly new, ring them up and complain.ageandjo wrote:Been through endless dyson's currently have a Dyson animal but it was ok for the first few months now it's rubbish.
Anyone advise on any others??0 -

jackiegibbo wrote:I Just Cant Believe It I went on line earlier to comment on my fab hoover thats really good at picking up the pet hairs and would you believe it the fanbelt went and broke on me.............i havent had it long bought it in argos but cant find the receipt. Can anyone help me with were to buy a fanbelt and is it expensive?
I've ordered spares and replacements for my MR vac from their website in the past, not too sure how competitive the prices are but didn't strike me as excessive and you know you are getting a genuine part. I seem to remember that the postage is included but not sure ( very vague at moment as have been on night shift) Speedy delivery too, it beats shleping around the shops and running up petrol parking costs.

I have a Dyson its about 3 years old and it used to work lovely ive tried cleaning the filter nothing seems to work its ok for general hoovering but pet hairs a no no
I have got laminate floors in the hall and living room and tiles in the kitchen so its not so bad
Upstairs are short piled carpets and my 2 cats 1 short hair,1 long hair and a cavalier king charles dog sleep up there sometimes its a nightmare i end up using a stiff brush on my hands and knees to sweep them up
I want Laminate flooring all in the bedrooms as its easier to clean but it costs a lot of money to get in done but maybe oneday
Im on the lookout for a good hoover that will pick up pet hairs on carpets and laminate flooring
Can anyone help?0
