Hello, Just want to let of steam

Bad mistake- changed to SKY TALK!!

first bill- rather high- charged 08 costs to a number- that turns out to be Virgin media - mainly 18 calls over a 3 day period with some calls between 1 min-23 mins!!

no one has made these calls!

i have no reason to call virgin!

and during certain call times- no one was in house.

sky playing dumb- how can we bill you- we only bill from number called etc etc


i am mad - i have never made these calls


what can i do

something is seriously wrong!!!!!!!!

If you weren't in the house at the time the calls were made, it sounds like a device is calling out automatically. Could it be a Virgin media cable box or something like that?

You need to be sure. What devices do you have plugged into the phone line? Are you absolutely certain nobody was in the house? You haven't got kids who could be messing around or anything like that? You haven't got an old computer connected trying to dial-up a number?

Are there calls on the bill that you're sure you have made?

I'm actually changing to Sky Talk myself, but I don't know if you can see the calls you make online or if their call staff can tell you? If you disconnect everything, except your phone when you need to make calls - do the items still appear on the bill?

wireless router with orange- bt phone line thats it
no kids in house etc etc- no pc connected to phone lines etc

u check bill on line- gives u itemised call list- all other calls ok- only these ones to virgin media over £9 worth of calls- i have never made or need 2
