3 Bed House on Mychoice Homebuy

Hi,
I share a house with a work colleague and we are looking to buy a house. We'd like a 3 bed given that we occupy a seperate room each.
But we're getting conflicting information about the Mychoice Homebuy scheme from different people.
Can we get a 3 bed? It says that you can get one more bedroom than you require - I make that a 3 bed house?
Has anyone had experience of this or know the answer definitively?

That is right you can get one more room than you need so if two people will be living in the property you will be able to get a 3 bedroomed house.0

Why then do some IFAs say that we cant?
We've even sent a signed letter confirming all of this - stating that we are not a couple etc and therefore require two bedrooms or more.0 -
Hmm, then I'd go straight to the owners of the scheme and ask them directly.
Ultimately its them who set the rules. Maybe too many people involved where they dont need to be.0 -
Phone them directly and ask. As generally the IFAs will deal with couples, who can only get 2 beds, this might be where the confusion has arisen.0
