It was £29.99 until yesterday and out of date sel was still there but scanned at £79.99 instead. I checked the price on the scanner and went back and got the other one on the shelf. So 2 x £79.99 phones for free plus £40.00 in cash. The cs lady was quite nice but the more senior assistant was quite put out about it and had a face like she was sucking lemons as they gave me my £159.98 back plus and extra £40.00 and 2 free phones. I nearly asked her if it was coming out of her own pocket. Plus the £50.00 gift card I got for Tesco insurance this morning and I have made a good profit out of Mr T today.
And then I dropped my I-Phone in the car park and cracked the screen!!

I found one similar to this and the label was out of date. I felt my heart ripping out of my chest as I took it to the self scan... still scanned at the reduced price.. gutted! Came home and looked online but the offer has been extended until September. It was this one http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.208-2457.aspx I honestly thought I had found a deal.

YES got it at last

BT Home phone with answering machine barcode 5016351614532 Sel £74.99 oh dear went through as £159.99 after paying went to customer services with bill "Oh dear" they said you better go to the eletrical counter.
At the electrical counter nice young lady said "oh dear" I work it out we got to give you £170 back LOL
This was the Pitsea store go for it

thanks for the BT Home phone suggestion, where abouts do you find it?? is it on the normal shelves or in the phone section?

Also need an urgent reply if possible please

If the expiry date is 09/08/2011 - is it possible for the item to scan at full price as it expired today, or do you wait till tomorrow?

Went back to the extra store near me as I had seen the Denby Dinner Sets yesterday when I got the phones but was not cheeky enough to buy them aswell. Anyway I had to get someone to get me one down as they were on the top shelf and I am short. Yipee they scanned for £67.00 and Sel said £33.50. Was in a quandary as to how many to buy but thought 2 was enough ( dont want them getting too funny with me). So bought 2 for £134.00 and went to cs and said these are mispriced. So off she trotted to check came back and said yes and then said I need to speak to someone else. She went off and came back with lemon face from yesterday. I deliberately had turned away so she could not see me but she walked right up to me and then said to cs lady yes that's her. I ignored that and then she said I need to ask someone more senior. I said is there a problem and she said no just need to check something. She eventually came back and said I could have DTD but it would all have to go on a gift card. Now I had paid £50.00 of the £134.00 by gift card anyway and thought she meant that part. CS lady said no all of it and I thought why not as I will spend that on my Mum and my shopping over the next few weeks anyway. I had also used a £5.00 till spit so my Pizza and Mozarella for t were free!!
CS lady was a bit snooty and said I don't know how people have time to look for all these deals. I said well if you would rather pay full price that is up to you. However Lemon face was actually quite nice today but think I will look further afield for DTD for a while as I think my card is marked. Happy Shopping.

Guessing we're not in the same store as I don't have an upstairs at my tesco :S

Love hearing about everyone's DTD stories, especially when there are trouts involved.

Unfortunately as I live a 10 mile round trip to Tesco and have a young baby I don't have the time to go to Tesco as much as I used to before I moved and had a baby.

Please keep the stories up... Really make my day!! :T
