Got dtd on the cooler today, 35 pounds back :D although i did stupidly walk away with rtd at first then went back for round 2! First i was told i couldn't get dtd because it was an electrical item, after i pointed out the policy then told me i could get dtd but couldn't keep the item  I said ok give me dtd, thinking i could phone HO and sort it out later with a possible £10 voucher on top :) Just when i was about to walk away i heard her say don't forget your item, i didn't want to cause more fuss so i took it and went :rotfl:

Picked up the stripey glasses today, got DTD no problem, CS was a bit annoyed as someone had been in on saturday and she got them all taken off the shelves, they had since been put back on. CS then got a sheet out of the cupboard marked overpayments, anyone else seen this or is it a new log system? Dont worry though she doesnt take your details just details of the DTD

God they'll try anything won't they? We should compile a list of lies we've all been told so we can be prepared when trouted. I mean, who would believe that a member of staff would lie through their teeth - that is until they visit this site!!!!

Quite often when I've gotten DTD they've filled out 'the book' but I have to admit, more often than not it's been for the glasses. Other issues such as out of date SELs have just resulted in the offending label being removed.

The tuna in my Tesco (Burnage) is scanning at 64p per can, so check on price scanner first.

  • on paperbacks the Gok Wan biog didnt scan for the 2 for £8, I bought it and a.n.other paperback and the deal didnt kick in - both went through at 4.98 , an overcharge of 1.96 - hence 1 almost free book :)

(CS checked which book was causing the problem)

Local one in W*lton road, Bl*irg*wrie has the black stripey glasses stickered at 4 for £3, but the SEL is 6 for £6. Didnt chance it as the CS lady was the same one who was on when I got the coloured ones, will pop back in the morning and pick up some for DD. There were also Napoliana Tomato based pasta sauces with sel expiry 12/07/11 saying reduced to £2.05, but as there is no scanner and there were too many foreign students I didnt see what the price was prior to the reduction.
still lots and lots of the grandad/dad socks going through at 25p, but as I have got 20 pairs already I will give it a miss,
