  • Any baby news yet emerald ? :)

No not yet - don't think she wants to come out. Going to Tesco in a bit in the hope I see a bargain and the excitement sends me into labour.

sorry but I cannot find the answer--

Will CS still offer dtd if the sel is out of date but still on the shelf?

I have successfully received DTD in this scenario. It is not up to you to check expiry dates of offers when you purchase an item. If they leave up old SELs then it is false advertising and yes, you should get DTD. If they argue it out then phone CS and they will hopefully contact the store and send you out a gift card for the remaining money.

Assuming that instore dtd is still going and hasn't ended as was reported yesterday...
Yes they should still give you dtd for an out of date sel. If CS try to fob you off phone head office and they'll set them straight. Most of the dtd arise from out of date sels.

    It's only a game

Gillette Fusion Proglide razor plus 1 extra blade in pack. DH just bought 2 of them, SEL £3 but went through at £9.99 each. Went to CS, who went to check shelf, called manager who told them to refund £6.99 per pack. No sigh at CS about DTD so DH didnt ask about it. Can I take receipt back tomorrow or just leave it?

A couple of minor things on my latest trip:

There is a knife in a white cardbaord box which is called "The Sharpest Knife in the World - Guaranteed!" or something similar. The box has a sticker that says special offer - £25. The SEL was £27 in my local Extra and also scanned at £27, so £4 DTD. I didn't buy it as I got that knife block from Viners someone posted about on here at something like £11, and £21 seemed a lot for a knife (I think there were a few things in there with it).

Also I picked up a Rolson 7 Piece DIY Kit which had a SEL from £10 down to £5, but the offer was out of date. I scanned it, hoping it would scan at £10, but it came out at £2.50 ;) This seemed pretty good value for a tape measure, pliers, 4 screwdrivers and a stanley knife, so into the basket it went :T

I have thought of a domain name for the helper site I will be writing so I will be registering that later today, and will get busy writing somethign useful! :j
