Is that right? Don't want to add the wrong thing and make it worse! I've already added a chopped red pepper and a tin of kidney beans as there were hardly any in it (as well as the meat, of course!)
I added some jalapeno peppers to mine for a bit of a kick. I normally also add in a square of dark chocolate to chilli as it really brings out a lovely rich flavour but the sauce is already quite sweet I recall so you might want to avoid that tip :j
Top the chilli off with a garnish of thiny sliced red onions and a sprinkle of cheddar cheese and you're onto a winner :TElite 5:2 #54 12/13 lbs (18 Jan) 1st Target :j0 -

Thanks! Already scoffed it by the time I saw your post but it does sound nice with the onions, think I'll try that next timeDefinitely agree with what you say about it being sweet!
I ended up adding some chilli powder, and serving with nachos, salsa and cheese - thought it would be too bland with just rice.
Glad I didn't pay more then 10p for them, they are certainly not worth the £1.40 price they were charging for them last time I checked!0 -

Bit late, but I always add Worcester Sauce to chilli (and spag bol too). If using beef mince I add a beef oxo, if lamb for a change, I add a lamb oxo, some chopped onion, mushrooms, courgette and a bit red and green pepper, and extra chilli suace (not powder) - trying not to eat too much red meat at the moment.0 -
