why doesnt my caller i.d work?

i called bt the other day and requested they activate my caller i.d , they said 48hrs , and its been a while now but still no numbers show up when people ring
is there something else i need to do ? i have a bt telephone with the digital display screen

Try a fresh set of batteries. After that, try a different display unit in case the first one is faulty. Finally, they may NOT have implemented it on your line - you'll need to call Installations and ask if it has been activated on your line.0

When mine didn't activate I was told to unplug the phone from the BT wall socket, leave it for a few seconds then plug it back in. Mine worked after doing this but if yours doesn't give BT a ring again.0
