Dear (me)

You recently attempted to transfer funds from your bank account to your PayPal account.

Your bank declined the funds transfer on 28 Apr. 2009.

We have charged your card, which you chose as your backup funding source, to complete your payment to (sellers email addy)

Ok so i want to know what the heck have they charged me???I had money in to cover the transactions, and how come all of a sudden an item i thought i`d paid for 2 wks ago has come up with the same msg.

So i have a £4 and £2 transfers with charges on.

Both items are still showing paid on my ebay page and i have checked my paypal account and unfortunetly its not a spoof email

Please help what happens Im scared im going to get angry emails from the sellers saying a fraud or something

ALSO had two of these emails too

Dear ***

On , we attempted to transfer 2.00 GBP from your bank account, ending in . This transfer was returned by your bank on for the reason below:

There was a bank processing error.

As a result, this bank account has been removed from your PayPal account. Please contact your bank for more information or add a new bank account. Please do not contact PayPal because this is entirely an issue between the account holder and their bank.

Where it says bank account ending there are no numbers in the email just exactly as is above.

Im not sure about the bank account issue, but I think the first emails are referring to the creit card you have linked to your paypal account. If Im reading it right all it means that the payments have been debited from your credit card instead of your bank account - I dont think it means you have been charged IYSWIM.
I think it would be goo dto contact your bankto see why it rejected & then contact Paypal.
  • Ah yes i see what you mean where it says charged your card if i read it properly it says charged your card, which i chose as a backing fund.

So hopefully i wont get any `charges` expect for the bank but I will have to sort that if and when that happens.

    Thanks for pointing that out

No you should be OK. I most cases I change payment method to card and not bank account to just give me a wee bit more protection and just to annoy PayPal since now it seems to automatically default to payment via bank!
