I had thirty and kept running low! They are expensive aren't they? I was really peed off when my MIL walked off with a pile, just because they were pink and I had a boy.
I bought off Ebay and got good deals, just because you get to pick and choose. Then the ones in Ikea are giant and thick and cute. And I got lots new at carboots.
    Hope you find some suitable.

Used terry nappies myself (actually a mw slipped them into my bag when we were being discharged :o). As well as burping, I used to place one in the cot/moses basket/pram so that if they were sick, you just had to change the terry not all the sheets.

I don't want to use muslins as I can just imagine holding one full of baby sick  drippy comes to mind bleurgh!!!! (and I just had a choc ice too!)

And face cloths for topping'n'tailing. One is fine if it's face before butt :D

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

I used hand towels from ikea- 29p each, and similiar size to Terry's nappies, I also used them as boosters in her nappies, floor cloths, flannels to clean her up after she has eaten, oh and of course Hand towels! We probably have about 40 bought at different times for different things.

The Ikea flannels are great too, really cheap, come in a pack of ten and they have different coloured tabs so you can assign certain colours to certain jobs.
We got these when our baby girl was born.

They last too, our youngest is 6 and the flannels are still going strong wiping floors, bathroom etc...
