I am currently with Powergen online, and pay by fixed monthly dd.
Uswich says n[power and another one says bg, yet ebicos unit price per kwh is much lower than any of those?Pawpurrs x0 -
None of the switch companies will offer you Ebico because Ebico will not pay them referral feesDon`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0

No but if you put them in as your current supplier then, you can compare which is what I tried.Pawpurrs x0

pawpurrs wrote:Looking at ebico, i cant work out what I would pay yearly, the comparasion sites all say different people are cheapest for me, my meter readings for a year are 2615 elec and 1525 gas.
What do you all think, i live in the south east. :money:
Assuming that those are your actual meter readings for the year, you will need to work out the kWh figures for the gas, because the gas is measured in either cubic ft or cubic metres unlike the electric meter which measures in kWh.
If your gas meter is measuring in cubic metres, that works out to approximately 17083 kWh. see your bill for more info.
To get the best comparison from any energy site, you need to enter the kWh figures rather than the cost in £.derrick wrote:None of the switch companies will offer you Ebico because Ebico will not pay them referral fees
Try entering your details into a better comparison site:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
You have confused me (not hard) re gas kwh these are the figures i got from my powergen bill and these show as kwh, so im guessing thats correct.
aAccording to your comparasion site its BG again thats cheapest and that surprises me.
It must be because of the discounts, because the unit price is more.
As BG have allready put their prices up, i am guessing it wouldnt be a bad time to switch then, as powergen online dot go up untill the 31st and they are allready cheaper than them, god i have been overpaying!Pawpurrs x0 -

Sorry not trying to confuse you but you said that they were your meter readings for the year. Meter readings are fine for electricity but gas needs to be calculated using various conversion factors etc. You will always get better comparisons when using actual kWh figures.
It is difficult knowing what to do at the moment and unless people have never switched from their original supplier, it may be better to hold fire until they all decide on their prices. i.e. npower January increases and now another from April.
Even after getting the results from the comparison sites, it is best to check that the actual rates are correct but they give a good idea and my supplier is still very near the top of the list. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
