Experiences buying from Israel

Hi, I was wondering if anyone would be able to help with regards to buying abroad - in particular from Israel.
I have been buying for a number of years but have never had the need to buy abroad as UK sellers have always sold what I need.
I have recently found a seller in Israel that sells something I really need but am a bit wary of over-seas sellers (not sure why, its the unknown). They have a feedback of 140 odd with one negative (the negative was about the product not being of good quality - different product to what I want) The thing is that all the feedback originates from US buyers & not UK.
Could anyone who has bought from Israel let me know their experiences please? Also if I were to buy would I need to pay extra for customs etc?
Many Thanks in advance

I bought a (used) laptop from a seller from Israel last year. It cost £250 and I didn't have to pay any custom fee. But obviously the seller should send it insured in case any problems occur.0

I guess I was just unlucky.
The item I bought, from Israel, turned out to be one of those situations whereby if "something looks too good to be true then it probably isn't true".
Item cost £180 compared to £280 everywhere else. Unfortunately the item received was broken. No amount of communication or threats of legal action (not really an option but I was desperate to try any tactic) produced any results - just a "see if I care" attitude.
It taught me to only do business (both buying and selling) in the UK only.0
