yes you can use regualr car shampoo , as long as its for car bodywork it will be okay
they do tend to roar though the soap fast0 -
I've used car shampoo in my Karscher (spelling?) for years and it works well, far cheaper than buying their branded stuff. As Steve says they do go through a fair amount of it so I usually mix it roughly one part shampoo to 10 parts water and it does the job very well.0

i have used tesco value bubble bath. i think it costs about 31p a litre. no doubt there's a very good reason why it's not a good idea.........0

Apparently according to my pressure washer manual, a normal detergent may bung up the system. I suspect they want to scare people into buying their own branded detergents0

If you have the soap dispenser on the end of the lance it is ok but if it is the type that draws the detergent through the pump it may block the very small valves with wax.0
