The fishmonger in my local Morrisons is excellent though I don't use him very often (don't eat a huge amount of fish) - when I went to pick out two tuna steaks for a Valentines day meal he really took his time over choosing two "nice" bits and checking I liked the look of them etc. I was surprised as I didn't expect that kind of personal service from a supermarket really

You've just reminded me of the fishmonger in my local Asda. He was so helpful, asked me what I liked, help me choose and gave me advice on how to cook it. I was so impressed that I went over to customer services and told his manager.

Gingham, it's worth trying your supermarket if it has a fish section.

Morning, are you sure your 2-year-old has a problem with concentration? I work in early years and as a rule of thumb we say that a child is only able to concentrate for one minute per year of his life, ie your son should be able to manage 2 minutes!
Yes, I think you're right. I don't think he has a problem as such, I just don't want him to be lacking in his diet, more as a precautionary measure I think. He does flit from one thing to another much of the time but he CAN spend quite a while on something he's interested in.

I give him organic free range eggs, tofu, broccoli etc so I know he's getting SOME omega 3. I suppose there's always something the 'experts' are telling us we're not getting enough of!

I will try the supermarket if I can't find a local supplier. I'm trying to avoid supermarkets as much as possible but I do use them so I'm not completely against them.

Thanks everyone, and I appreciate the links competitionscafe.
May all your dots fall silently to the ground.

I was buying some yoghurt drinks for my daughter and they said that Omega 3 oils can be found in some fish and nuts. Maybe your local health food store can advise you further.
