Had our meeting with LLs. We are very lucky indeed!
They are one of the nicest couples we have ever met!

We were thinking they might want to probe us about our general situation. No such thing! The second we were in the door, they were showing us round, showing us how the alarms and appliances worked. It became apparent early that they had made up their minds positively.

They asked us when we could move in, and were flexible about our proposed rent payment dates. They even offered to give us a key to their garage so we could start to move stuff in as and when before the move date.

The only mention of our poor credit was when they said 'everyone gets in a bit of trouble sometimes so don't worry'.

They have indicated that they are likely to be looking for a long term let. They said they might look to sell when the market picks up again but wouldn't do so as long as we are in the premises paying them good rent.

All in all, a meeting which couldn't have gone better - especially after we had committed to already having put in our notice in this place (don't try that at home kids!!)
It's little things like that which does restore some faith in human nature, especially following the Homelet experience! Now we really are looking ahead.
