just interested in peoples opinions.Denby are rumoured to be looking at making thier pots in China along with all the other cheap tat that comes from there.Denby has a 200 yr tradition of being made in Denby Derbys and using local clay.I know of lots of people who say ,even if its ceaper to buy they will not touch it again.
each items could be around £2-3 cheaper in the shops, but we have seen the quality of some of it and its nowhere near as good as original.

Would not bother buying it due to principle of being made abroadIf Denby went to china I would only buy it to replace any pieces that were damaged or broken as I have a set which we got as wedding presents. I would not buy a new design though.0

No, I wouldn`t purchase, my wife and I have owned Denby for years now and it`s as good condition now as when we bought it. By the way my wife is soon to be made redundant and the work she does moved to China.
Who are these companies going to sell to in this country, when no-one is earning money as all the work including insurance and bank call centres are moved overseas.0 -
any other answer i cant think of!!No but only because I really don't like Denby pottery.0

Would not bother buying it due to principle of being made abroadNo I wouldn't buy stuff made in China unless it was to replace a specific piece from our current dinner service which got broken and a Chinese product was the only one available. . Particularly at the moment in the middle of a deep recession, I think charity begins at home and I don't want to be depriving British workers of their jobs.0
