    Would an annulment not be the answer here? I mean if she thinks that he only married her for the visa, than surely that should be sufficient grounds to have an annulment?

    Margaretclare, Commonwealth nationals can join the British Army. So, Indian, Australian and Ghanaian nationals, for example, can join. At least that used to be the situation.

    As nina said above as he's here due to the marriage he would be asked to leave but then could apply for another visa while it's processed

    And he's apparently applied for army and has fitness soon so not sure
