Hi all,
Just a quick question, I want to open a savings account and wondered whether the banks etc run a credit check for these as I have had bad credit in the past and don't want any unnecessary searches on my credit file, even if for a savings account.
Thanks for any info received!

Based on my experience, no. However, if you don't have other accounts with the 'bank ets' they can make unrecorded enquiries to check your ID. These searches are shown on your files, but cannot be seen by other companies.welshlass111 wrote:I want to open a savings account and wondered whether the banks etc run a credit check for these ...0
