Leasing a laptop

  • A 3 year old pc should do all that with ease, if it's slow, it's probably down to ram, too much running at startup, or viruses etc.

    this is what i thought.
Could be that it just needs more ram or you have something on there thats slowing it down, have you run this to see how much ram you can add?

funnily enough i was advised to use that site earlier this week. it told me i had 512 ram and no scope for adding anymore. i believe this being because a slot would need to be free'd up.

thanks everyone, you've made me realise i just need to get this one running properly and not fork out for a new one. sometimes tho its so frustrating u just feel like spending out to try and solve the issues !

no wonder he has a smile on his face...
  • Run a hijack this nad post the log on here, I sure you can upgrade the ram and it will show if you have anything slowing it down
  • i am going to rethink this, as a lot of the deals i am finding are £50 a month and tbh i would rather buy outright if its going to be that much.
For £600 a year you could afford to buy a reasonable spec laptop and throw it away every 18 months, i.e. £900.

That would be something like this...
