Credit Card Limit

in Credit cards
I currently have a goldfish credit card with a 7500 k credit limit on it.
Myself and my girlfriend are getting married in the Bahamas in April this year and we need to pay the balance of our wedding cost which is approx £5000.
Because my current balance on the card is over £2000 (which I am unable to pay off until we both get paid at the end of the month) plus the £5000 cost to pay will exceed my credit limit i have asked my cc company if they would increase my limit.
Alternatively do you think I could make a payment of £5000 to my credit card before the transation went through so that I would not exceed my credit limit? We have the money in savings to pay the £5000 but because it is a payment to a foreign country we are only able to pay by credit card. I don't mind this because we will get a lot of cc points.
I suppose also I could pay it using 2 credit cards if I had to?
Any thoughts anyone?

Can you Balance transfer a total of 2k from one of these cards to the main card thereby paying off the 2k before payday. Then use you wages to pay off the balance on the second card.
this would leave you with your max limit on your main card. do you follow?
Or ask the bank for an overdraft as they are designed for exactly this kind of problem.0 -
Hi
I just applied Harley-Davidson Credit Card on line from this web site and they at the end of application process they gave me £6700 credit limit straight away with 0% BT rate. i am now going to BT from my virgin CC £5000 on this one with no BT Fee. Application process was all quick and simple and gives u decision instantly. Although i was turned down by Natwest last week for having CC from them with 0% offer. i am with Natwest for last 6 years and with good credit history. try Harley-Davidson and BT £2000. hope it is helpful0
