I bought a non-stick wok from lidls for next to nothing 2 years ago and it's going fine. It has handled the heat at full temperature for all it's cooking.

sometimes the cheaper ones are better.

I always wash mine in hot water with NO washing up liquid.

Also only use a normal dish cloth, and nothing rough / abrasive as that will obviously wear away the coating too.

Once washed, I normally put it back on the (now switched, but still warm hob) to ensure it dries quickly (though keep an eye on this as there's obviously a fire hazard here if you leave it unattended!)

My hob is about the only thing I wash up, and I INSIST it's only me that washes it up!

I have had a stainless steel flat bottomed wok (Argos) for about 12 years and up to six months ago it was used on a solid electric plate to great effect....not so happy with my gas hob, impossible to turn any of the jets down low enough to simmer, so if I could afford to I would go back to electricity immediately!
