I used to live opposite a really noisy household - shouting matches in the street, it was awful and I feel for you having to live with that.

One night, we were woken to them arguing and the boyfriend was being violent outside their house (I felt quite scared to see it going on even though I was inside!) so we rang the police. It went to court and we were witnesses.

The only thing you can do is wait for them to go too far, as others have suggested, I would definitely contact the local police and hopefully if enough residents do this there will surely be a way to put a stop to this.

Why are some people so incredibly inconsiderate these days?!

    good luck

If they are causing a disturbance out on the street, that would be a public order issue, and a matter for the police.
"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"
  • unfortunately the only way to avoid these kind of issues is to be the noisy ones yourselves !

Technically yes, but there's not really much the Police can do except bus them off for a night in the cells - and even that's only going to happen if they're stupid enough to kick off in front of them. Don't try and get a response on a Friday night.

BTW, the easiest way to find out if someone is a HA tenant is to blow £3 on a quick check at the land registry website.
