Hi all
Can anyone help me with this - I am looking to buy a cheap but reliable CD player for my car. I don't need anything fancy and am looking to pay only about £50, but I don't want something so cheap that it won't even last a year.
I have looked on google and found lots of sites selling car audio systems, but don't know which ones are reliable.
Any advise you could give me will be very welcome.
Thanks in advance,
Yenners

I tried that. Sound quality wasn't very good and the volume kept going up and down. Very annoying.
I'm quite dubious about the maplin cd player. Stick to a name you trust. I've always had sony and never had any complaints.
Against sony, that is. I have plenty about the thugs who pinched it.
Lol. I got mine for £69.99 from argos in a sale. It's the same model I paid for a few months before for £100.
Might be an idea to look in argos.0 -
Hi,
You should be able to get a new head unit for around £50 with a CD tuner, especially siince most people are after units with MP3 capability these days.
I recently bought a great Kenwood unit from http://caraudiosecurity.com and I notice that they have a Panasonic CD Tuner for £50. The P&P is something to consider though - I picked mine up from the store (they ore on Tottenham Ct Rd, London) since I live nearby.
Have a look on EBay too - there are lots of legitimate, authorised sellers putting out discounted units that may be of interest. There was quite a tidy looking Kenwood unit for about £52 if I recall (again, postage is another matter).

thanks Lee, phil, dazza and josh. I will check out those sites. Good idea about the mp3 player josh, but I don't have a stereo in my car to begin with so no can do.
I did see caraudiosecurity but P&P was £10! I didn't know they had a shop so will check that out - thanks josh
Will also look in argos dazza.
thank you all.Not buying clothes for a year - it's liberating!0 -
