Paypal Payment on Hold?? After item sent

I'm not sure if anyone will be able to help me with this but, i haven't had any clear answers from paypal.
Someone brought an item from me. They paid by paypal, paypal told me the funds were cleared and to send the item out. Which i did.
Now two weeks later the payment is on hold. The buyer / buyers bank are trying to retract it.
I have contacted paypal who say to contact the buyer. Suprise suprise there is no response there.
Paypal have said there is nothing i can do unless i sent the item special or recorded delivery which i didn't.
Is there anything at all i can do?
