Was my bank right?

After reading about the cases of claimed bank charges on the grounds of hardship Idecided to relaim my charges as I am on income support and disability benifit and have 2 children.
I made my claim in september last year and had a payment in november of just 2 months charges.
was this right? or should they have reapid all my charges for the 6 years that can be claimed. I have been on disability benefits for many years and not just gone on them
