New LCD HD TV

I am looking at replacing my old CRT TV with a Widescreen LCD.I want one that has High Definition.What exactly should I been looking for as some LCD TV's are advetised as "HD Ready".

    How do you intend to receive HD TV? Telewest or Sky? Neither of which are available yet. You wont get it on Freeview, you can get HD DVD compatable players which improve the quality of standard DVDs with an HD compatable TV
    All you need to look for is a TV thats labelled HD ready, if you want to check further it will have an HDMI connector on the back.
    That gum you like is coming back in style.
