A large raspberry to iflorest.co.uk

For anyone planning to order flowers on-line - don't use this company if you want them delivered on time!
On 19th April, I ordered a bouquet of flowers and some chocolates from iflorest.co.uk to be delivered to my friend for her 40th birthday which was yesterday (Monday 27th April). The website stated that they didn't deliver on Mondays, and allowed me to select the day before - ie Sunday 26th, and I thought a day early was acceptable. I paid and got my receipt stating they would be delivered on Sunday 26th April. I didn't hear from my friend on Sunday, which I thought was odd, and when I called her yesterday to wish her Happy Birthday, she thanked me for the card and didn't say anything else. I had to ask if she had had anything else delivered, and she said no. When I contacted the company, they said that they didn't deliver on Sundays OR Mondays. They offered my a £10 voucher off a future order, which I said was not acceptable to me as I didn't plan to make any orders from them again. I asked for a £10 refund, which I thought was reasonable on a £40 order for something that was supposed to arrive on a specified date and was supposed to be a surprise. The surprise has been ruined and the flowers STILL haven't arrived (although the tracking states that they are on the van for delivery today…). The company offered me a free bouquet to be delivered anywhere in the country, but I DO NOT WANT another bouquet (which will probably be their cheapest offering). They told me "you ordered a next day service which doesn’t deliver on a Sunday", trying to imply it was my fault. If their system accepted an order for delivery on a Sunday, and the receipt/confirmation stated a Sunday, why should I not expect that? Quite apart from that, they had a whole week in which to pick up the discrepancy - had they contacted me during that time to explain the problem, I could have made another arrangement. I am sooooooo cross!

I have just received an email saying they will refund £10 to my credit card. It doesn't rectify the initial problem, but they have at least compensated a little. It shows that it pays to ask because a voucher was of no use to me.0

No, that was a company called Bloomin Delightful.
I am surprised that you have had problems with IFlorist. I have used them about half a dozen times and the flowers have always turned up on time, they have been of good quality, and have lasted ages. I am also surprised that you thought they delivered on Sundays. In my experience I don't think any courier or delivery companies operate on that day. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
It says clearly on the front page that they deliver monday to saturday, but i agree their system is rubbish!0

I think what the OP was saying was that the company offered to deliver on Sunday, so whether they normally do it is not the point. If they offered to deliver them on the Sunday then that is what they should have done!
It's odd that they don't deliver on a Monday though..I don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderfulMarilyn Monroe0 -
I think she is saying the WEBSITE allowed her to order in this way0
