Weirdly, the 'suggest' function seems to have disappeared from my small Google search box which is part of the toolbar.
Can anyone suggest why this might be or what I can do to get it back?

Not now I can't!
On a more serious note the suggestion feature works on the main google web page...0 -
Indeed it does, but up to a few days ago it also worked on the toolbar searchbox.
Would Google have removed it, by any chance..?0 -

Yes, I've tried that and, bizarrely, the 'show suggestions' option is still ticked. It doesn't seem to matter whether I select the option or not. Suggestions have stopped working!0 -
Can you temporarily change to another search engine and see if the suggestions work there?
There should be a manage search engines tab at the bottom of the list of the various search engines list0 -
Coul it be a browser problem, actually?
I'm still using IE7 and am getting occasional 'window freeze' which is annoying me. Thinking of switching to IE8 or Firefox which I'll now raise as a separate query. Can you temporarily change to another search engine and see if the suggestions work there?
