Should I buy a used breast pump?

Well there's still a chance that the baby may turn. It would be wise to look into moxibustion asap as there is only a small window of time in which it can be done.
Also it's worth remembering that sometimes the cord will not allow the baby to turn either by being tangled or by being very short. I this case it's safer to have a section.
I know how you're feeling, I was told that I had to have a section (for a low lying placenta). I was absolutely heartbroken as I had planned a homebirth all along. I found out at 38 weeks that I was ok to have my much wanted homebirth, the relief was overwhelming.
You push for that vaginal delivery if that's what you really need. If it's a staffing issue or an experience issue then you have a say.Just run, run and keep on running!0 -
I had my scan today, and the baby has turned! I was so elated, it is now head down in the right position...I hope it stays that way.
Thanks everyone for your support and advice. :T0 -

Ever seen that episode of red dwarf where Lister serves a meal from the kidney dishes and urine sample bottles and uses scapels and stuff to serve it? It's a bit like that! Sounds grim, but all sterile!
I bought a second hand Medela from ebay and didn't have a problem with it at all. It does sound grim, but so does buying 2nd hand reuseable nappies from ebay...and loads of us using these forums do that quite happily. I don't know which model you're refering to, but I know my Medela comes apart fully and every part of it would have been sterilised, so I'm not sure where particles can linger...I'm not a scientist though, but I would say the risk of anything dodgy hanging around is equivalent to winning the lottery. If there was, the risk could quite easily be from your own milk going off in the pump as it could be from the previous owner.
Tried hand held and electric and definitely found electric to be far better.
Don't forget, if you do buy on ebay and it doesn't work out, you can always resell on ebay...you'll have only lost your sellers fees.
Hope the birth goes smoothly now that baby has turned.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?
