:hello:
Hi everyone. Room for one more to squeeze in?
I've half heartedly doe this challenge before but I think I have Mr Shortie fully behind me now and I'm feeling more organised too so I recon I'll be hanging around now if that's okay?
My 'month' starts tomorrow as it's my pay day and my challenge is to keep us within the allocated £200 that we put aside each month. We always spend over this and I'd like to eventually get under this amount. That's to feed myself and Mr Shortie, a 6 year old, a 22 month old, 2 cats and 2 dogs. Phew
I think this is going to be a real eye opener :eek:April 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500 -
Hello lovely OS'ers!
I've not been around much this month - in the middle of finals! Got an exam tomorrow morning (as you can guess, revision is going well... *ahem*), and have been putting all my energy into revision and trying not to explode into a little ball of stress. This has had a knock-on effect on my moneysaving ways - spend spend spend seems to be the theme for me this month.
GC related, I haven't been keeping track to the penny as normal - I do, however, know my spending is in the ballpark of £12 so far. I know I was strict on myself this month, but looking back it was probably a bad idea. Going to keep going on my vague calculations and see how it kind of works out, I'll be back on form when I'm not learning all about leptin receptor's modulation of the t cell response during atherosclerosis
On a positive note, though - I have had 70 NSDs so far this year! My target for the year was 100, so I am well on track. Going to increase it to 122 (so 1 in 3 days is a NSD), but quite excited by this as I am such a shopaholic.0 -
Holding head in shame:embarasse:embarassehave gone waaaay over and still not the end of the month. I know i`ve brought some bulky bits, which should last us, but still annoyed with myself
. I have meal planned for the week and will stick with it, i promise, so will try to keep myself busy, so I stay out of the shops. Hope everyone else is doing great. Catch you all later.

Morning everyone - hope you all had a good weekend. I've survived without spending any money from the GC which is just as well as there's not much left and still 9 days to go. We had Dinner out at friend's on Saturday and yesterday we had some of the Roast leg of lamb, there was a small mountain of sliced lamb left so tonight I shall make a Curry and the rest has been put into the Freezer to be used in other meals.;)
We've had a lot of rain here so the garden looks great, love it when it looks freshly watered and everything is so green - got flowers appearing on my peas & broad beans and everything else coming along well.:D
Have a good day everyone.;)"WASTE NOT, WANT NOT!"GC for OH, myself, DD18 & DD16 includes Toiletries, cleaning stuff & Food.

Morning all. Have updated my total as spent £33.47 at weekend in Mr M's. Got one or two reduced meat items which I have cooked and added to the freezer so hoping next week's spend will be similar and keep me under budget. Plenty of meat and meals in the freezer and store cupboard full too.
The lettuce plants I bought in Lidl (12 for 99p) I potted into larger pots, put them in the mini greenhouse and they are thriving so very pleased with that. As I also bought a dozen lollo rosso type leaves from a garden centre which are already planted out in my wee veg border, won't have to buy any lettuce all summer (and through out half a bag as it's gone off!!)
Prepared the ground to plant leeks also from the garden centre so will do that, weather permitting, through the week after work.
Feeling as if I have achived quite a bit this weekend - for a change!0 -
Did really well this weekend, only spent £46.34 and we had quite a bit of extras to buy too. Although unfortunately I succumbed on the Friday before hand and got us and fish and chips takeaway, but hey we are allowed now and again.

Amazingly, I had a NSweekend. I really need to go and buy basics like flour, butter and sugar but the co-op is too expensive. Maybe see what our local shop charges.
I am annoyed though because I used 2lbs stewing steak to make a casserole to last two meals and the males of this household ate the whole lot while I was distracted.
That was between three of them. I was going to make a pie today and now have my menu plan messed up. I have a guest fro dinner tonight too.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Morning all.
Just been through what we have and have revised our menu plan a bit for this week so I don't have to buy anything further.
We're now going for...
Mon - sea bass, salad and new potatoes (quorn fillet for me)
Tues - 5 bean veg chilli
Wed - enchiladas (chicken for OH, quorn for me)
Thurs - pizza for OH, quorn shepherds pie for me
Fri - OH has big lunch in work, shepherds pie leftovers for me
Then it all starts again on Saturday!
Should get away with only having to buy extra milk

Ok, so damage limitation. Hubby came back from Mr A with a lot of shopping. So worked out with that plus what's in the freezer we have a weeks menu. So put online shop back by a week. Will be delivered on 26th now. Couldn't really spin it out till end of month. Haven't found the Mr A receipt yet! About £50 worth or could be more:eek:. So will be over this month, declare at the end, but will have enough when shopping delivered to take us through to middle of june. Well that's the plan:DGrocery challenge june £300/ £211-50.
Grocery challenge july £300/£134-85.0
