No water in hot tap,can you help?

This morning husband twiddled with something and ever since there has been no water coming from the hot tap.
The heating is working(thankfully)and getting cold water form cold tap but no baths/showers allowed!
Any suggestions in idiot proof language greatly appreciated !

You could have an air lock in your pipes. Thats what happened to mine.Dreams Do Come True0

sounds to me like the jumper valve is stuck in the closed position on your tap its easier to re-new with a valve you can buy them from b&q's for about £80
