Converting website from tables to CSS?

I'm reusing a website from a project setup a few years ago, before CSS was well supported, so most of the layouts and design are setup in tables designed in Dreamweaver 2004, I want to keep the design which is still clean and fresh, but setup as much as possible using CSS, I have Dreamweaver 8 and CS3.
Is there any easy way of converting the design to a CSS file, or would I be better of starting from scratch?

To be honest its quite difficult to "convert" as such. So you would have to start from scratch.
I would suggest keeping note of your height, width of tables etc and just applying them to <div class="oldmaintable"> tag class
.oldmaintable{
width: n px;
height: n px;
}
I will also mention that CSS is not yet fully supported (mostly but not fully) as a layout means and you may experienced some browser portability, If your website is working okay on tables I would personally leave it that way for at least another year.
Hope this helps0 -
Thanks Duk, I'm just keen not to let it get left behind. The other main reason is I want to "convert" it into a template, so the menu structure is separate, so adding new pages becomes easy, rather than having to update the entire site when a new menu item is added.
The design is very precise and only uses a handful of tables, but I know they are likely to get more complex and clumsy as new content is added.0
