I've got one from Woolies but I have never used the lid!! The dish is great though. I thought I desperately needed one with a lid, but apparently not.

As for breaking, I've dropped my pyrex on my laminate floor more than once, and it bounces!

Just wish they still did pyroflam, absolutely great cos you can start it on an open flame then put it in the oven. If anyone ever broke my pyroflam casserole then there would be TROUBLE!

Tesco and Asda have them, and they aren't much. Someone is selling shed loads of them the past few weeks at my local bootsale for £1/£2 each.
There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.

Ive just brought two of these from tesco, made by pyrex with white plastic lids. Big enough for a large (ish) lasagna, cottage pie etc cost £3.41 (or 81p i cant remember and ive lost my receipt)

    Thanks for all your help

My mum uses the pyrex ones with a plastic lid all the time for freezing shepherds pie and the like. Cheapest place she has found them is Wilkinsons.
