    Hello All!

Am loving NY - its hot but fantastic as always - just having some lunch, had waffles for brekkie, the flight was great and loads of space to stretch out, the hotel is cool for mucho cheapness :D

Nice to see everyone talking about running - I would say though LM is a huge commitment - I trained 50 miles a week on avg and still only came away with 4:31 so do think about it before you apply - but if you want to - GO FOR IT :)

    Have fun all! :D

I'm having a cooking day today.
I've made huge batches of chilli and bolognese, the kids had some for tea and I've got the remainder batched up for freezing :T

I cooked enough brown rice with the chilli to save some to make a proper chicken risotto tomorrow from scratch

and I got 2 sirloin steaks from the posh butchers in Ilkley, new potatoes and fresh spring greens for me & hubby's tea.
We're all trying to be really healthy.

Jess couldn't even wait for the rice, she was 'testing' the chilli by spooning it straight from the pan! (it's very mild, I'm a wuss)

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.
