Spotted this one in a newspaper.
Fancy using your laptop in the garden, but can't get a signal?
Routers work by transmitting radio waves from an antennae to your PC. These Waves are transmitted in all directions, but by reflecting them, their range can be extended.
Cover a cereal bowl in tin foil, (making a mini-satellite dish), place it behind the router antennae, facing in the direction of your deckchair.
It can almost double the range of the wireless connection.

I saw that too. Wonder how many bowls are now covered in tin foil.0

Tried that, didn't work at all.Ubuntu is an ancient African word, meaning: 'I can't configure Debian'.0

Try these plans... http://www.freeantennas.com/projects/template2/index.html
This technique is based on good science and does increase the gain of the antenna by making it directional.0
