This might sound like a really silly question, but what does the C/O mean before the address that you send the item too?

Thanks! Sorry if it's really obvious!

the post after yours was correct, it means Care of :) i.e. it gets sent via someone else to protect the recipient's details.

"this is not the child''s home address, but a forwarding one" (from original webpage)

Edit: oh whoops, you already replied... never mind, someone else might find it useful :A

URGENT APPEAL- 10 year old Katy is very ill with a brain tumour, you might of seen her in the news this week as they induced her Mum so she could meet her baby sister. Post Pals are appealing for people to send Katy and her sister Charley a card, letter or little gift to make them smile. Post Pals record is 100 cards to Jack Bradley B in a week when he was very ill, can you help break that record and make a very poorly child smile?

Please share and post the link and appeal where ever you can

I'm very sad to say Katy passed away about an hour ago http://www.postpals.co.uk/news.php

Thank you to everyone who took the time to make Katy smile, it really cheered her up and she enjoyed the post a lot. Please keep writing to Charley as it will be a difficult time for her (just chat like you would to any 8 year old).

Hi

I have just spent a while looking at the postpals site and spent most of it in tears, I would love to do something positive and wish I had found this site before Christmas as my children love sending to the shoe box appeal but their school didnt take part this year and I think its a good way for children to realise how lucky they are and that there are a lot less fortunate and I think this is a fantastic way to show this. I would love them to sit down and write cards but not sure what they or I should really put in them. Any advice or guidlines would be great. I will also get them to go through their xmas presents and see if there some that they dont really want and send them on x

They have a presence here:
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Postpals/111523882214534?sk=wall

or you could just publicise their main site: http://www.postpals.co.uk instead.

I periodically get my guides to send cards and suchlike through postpals, it's really good for kids to make a difference in someone's life as well as reminding them that maybe the fact that they don't have the newest mobile phone isn't all that bad after all ;)
