            £10 per week :money:

Its not that bad at all tbh.
If they cleared it out at the back that would be the average size of a normal studio flat,
which would cost £450+ per month, + £50+ council tax per month.
(I live in a studio flat, its L-shape, but if the total surface area is roughly just 2-3x of their garage.
And even though it is new-built n modern design and in the most expensive town in the UK, i pay £675 for it unfurnished, and thats before the £69 per month council tax and £45 per month electric bills)
So them getting a place to live for £40 per month is extremely good!
I just think its really quite sad that the whole nation is making everyone into a victim and using the 'R' word, which in actual fact very very few people actually know what a recession or a credit crunch actually are.
If these 2 people werent lazy fools they would/should do what everyone else whos in the exact same situation as the them does and-
 1. Instead of sitting around feeling sorry for themself, they should phone/go into their local council and register for housing benefit.
(They are both over 25, so if they lived in my area that would be £620 per month EACH as basic housing benefit).
And so pooling their £1,200 cash each month would easily get them a very nice flat to rent.
 2. Instead of them 'walking around town all day, then going down the pub, and then playing monopoly',
they should do what all other unemployed people who need an income do and start claiming JSA (so another £240 cash per month EACH)!
And then they should sit in their house and spend ALL DAY, EVERYDAY, applying for atleast 100jobs per day in any area within 1 n half hours travel off them, and in any industry even if its not their dream job.
Thats not especially hard or secret knowledge, its just the standard thing of what people who are in that situation do.
And so if instead of horsing around and doing TV interviews,
they listened to my advice and take the steps that i have said they would EACH be able to get between £700 - £860 cash each month to help them survive till they manage to get a job.
Which especially if combined would get them a very nice flat with adequate food and facilities.
So i cant feel sorry for them at all,
instead just feel extremely confused and baffled at why they are not just using some basic skills of reseacrh to seeing what they could get if they werent too lazy to look! :TLife's not about the destination..., its about the journey!!:kisses3::A
Im so sooo glad i realised this as it made me change my entire career and life!! :smileyhea0 :smileyhea0

I feel sorry for them, but can't help wondering how a dustman and street sweeper ended up with £800 pcm mortgage payments on a £125,000 house. That must be a pretty high multiple and high % advance. There was probably not much left for redundancy insurance.
Sittingbourne is saturated with new properties, so they were never going to see much price growth. On Rightmove there are 378 houses starting from £85,000. So glad we didn't buy there in the end.Been away for a while.0

            £10 a week?
Not bad for a good size lock-up.
Nice of their landlord to be so understanding. :rolleyes:0

Unfortunately, the amount of landlords willing to accept housing benefit is very low, they would also require a deposit, something they obviously do not have.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0

you only get one amount from the council per couple and they will only pay for one bedroom rate now in my area thats 87.00 a week at moment
so you are mistaken in your suggesting they would get 1200 cash
they are now on the council waiting list and have been temporarly housed
i wouldnt say they were lazy maybe they were too proud

In that case they could be 'resourceful' and go on a break for abit.
(They could still be dating and spend the days together as bf and gf by visiting eachother,
but could easily end the relationship of being a live-together couple)
Nothing illegal about that, a huge number boyfriends and girlfriends dont live together,
but so then they would each be able to claim their own individual money, be able to get individual jobs to buildup their own futures,
and then once they are in a position to be able to both support themselves without the need to sate benefits they could the get back together and move-in together.
And in relation to the being 'too proud' to get benefits,
that alone makes them extremely foolish people to let their 'pride and pompusness' come before their own basic human welfare.
(At the end of the day its their lives and so if they want to starve and sleep on a floor just to avoid what they think is the ''shame'' in being unemployed and needing to go to the jobcentre and rely on the benefits system to help them for abit).
A system by which as tax payers they would have paid their cash into already when they were working though.
I personally used to work self-employed as a stockmarket trader, trading crude oil futures.
And while there was the market crash and volatility last year i was netting thousands of quid each week for many many months (legally tax exempt), and so was used to walking around in Armani suits and going to flashy restaruants where people.
But when the volatility dried-up, and so the ease of making money in the industry went with it,
i managed to put my pride aside and went out sending of 100s of CVs per day for low level basic jobs that paid 1/10 of what i was used to earning.
So if i could do it as its what was needed for me to survive, then they could also easily do it to.Life's not about the destination..., its about the journey!!:kisses3::A
