Hi all
Just a quick Q about word processing. My laptop has Mircosoft Works pre-loaded (running Vista Business).
All the word processing I do is with 'works.doc'. When I am sent documents by email which are 'word.doc' I can only read them by the document viewer.
I need to edit or add text to these documents and send them as by email as attachments.
Is there any way of converting the word docs so I can type/edit them using works?
Any advice will be apprcieated, thanks in advance

Open document in Google Docs and then "File/Download File as" and choose RTF (Rich Text Format) which can be read by any word processor http://docs.google.com/
Alternatively just use Google Docs as your word processor.0 -
Right click on the .doc file and then Open With, and select Microsoft Works. It can open and save in .doc format natively, you just have to tell it too.0

OpenOffice:
It's free (No, free, really, £0, zip, nothing..)

Does Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc...
Sigh! OK! Have it your way...
