hi, my wife is at home looking after our children and doesnt go out to work so she does get some child benefit etc but not much because. We opened up a tesco savings account and ut some money in it from our hosue sale. We have had a certificate of deduction of tax for my wifes account and she has been deducted tax. I understand that she can fill a R40 or R85 (not sure if thats correct) form to claim the interest free. Quick question can she still do it and claim the interest back on an accout which it has be deducted on?

for 2008-9 tax you need to download a R40 form from HMRC and send it off
for 2009-10 complete an R85 for each bank/BS account you have0 -
