Suspicious bidder won my item - do I send it?

Just wanting some opinions from more experienced ebayers please!

I sold something on ebay today, during the week I had somebody bidding on it and then ebay emailed me saying they were a suspicious bidder and had deleted their account and removed all their bids.
The auction has now ended and when I received the payment for it I noticed that the winner bidder is actually the previous "suspicious bidder" but using a different account.
They have paid for the item through paypal so I can't really complain as I have my money! But they just sent me a message asking if I could send the item to a different address to the one on the order details as they forgot to change it before paying.
I'm a little worried about this but I'm also thinking it's fine, they have paid for me and also I don't know why their account got deleted and it could be something thats not going to affect their transaction with me.

What would you do? Opinions please.

How did this come to your notice?

    >as I have my money!<

Err, no. Paypal reversals are legion and a scammer will know every trick to get around seller protection.

All the buyer has to do is tell paypal they had their credit card stolen, or account hacked, therefore didn't actually purchase any items - resulting in a full refund for them and a big loss for all the sellers they dealt with.

Report them to ebay and paypal.

I noticed it was the same person as they have the same name!
Thanks for the advice, have sent an email to ebay so will see what they say.

The rules with paypal are simple, please do not get sidetracked with other things that don't matter.

For full seller protection against any sort of paypal chargeback you must send the item fully tracked to the address that paypal show in the 'OK to send' box on the payment page. To be protected against just a claim for fraudulent use of a card you merely need to have proof of postage to that address, use any other address and you are not covered. Simple.

Therefore thank buyer politely for their money and explain that under paypal rules and for yours and their protection you have been advised to send it to the address xxx.xxx

Ask them to confirm that it is now OK to send.

leave it with them, if they are legit they will say OK, if not they will panic and that gives you more time.

Thanks soolin. I sent ebay an email but as usual they were a bit useless, they said they had looked into it and taken "appropriate action" on the buyers account but couldn't tell me exactly what they had done due to privacy. They then advised me to send the item out anyway!
Have sent the buyer a message saying I can only send to the address confirmed in paypal and asked if that's ok. No reply so far...

Good stall a bit for time.

AS for ebay, they will never commit to anything useful so I rarely bother asking them for their advice.
