A Balanced Portfolio

I'm going to see an IFA at some stage on this but until then so I can do some groundwork does anyone know of some good online resources giving advice on the above? I'm wanting to get all my investments sorted and balanced (shares, bonds, cash, property, pension etc) based on my age, risk aversion and investment goals and cannot seem to find anything up to date on the web.
