Barclaycard Initial

Hi,

Anyone got a Barclaycard initial?

Thinking of appying for one but I have a default from over 3 years ago from a credit card. Have had a spotless credit record since then but the default lives on your file for 6 years.

thanks

Martin

Yep! I got one and despite my credit record having no record (had no credit) they issued one too me with a limit of £1,100.

They have a very good online control panel and is always up-to-date.

The initial is to help build your credit record :)

    I'm confident you'll have no problem :)

    Hope this helps

I've had one for aout 6 months now. I have 2 defaults from 2/3 years ago and they gave me one no problem with a £2k limit.
  • Me too, only got a cr*ppy £260 limit though at first. Just upped it to a massive £400! Still its a step in the right direction!

It seems that the Barclaycard Initial is quite good for people who have some defaults on their records then.

I've just applied online and was told that the application process has started. I have 4 defaults from when i went bankrupt nearly 5 years ago. I have been discharged for 2 years and currently have a Capital One credit builder card, yes i paid the £200 deposit.

What do you think my chances are??

I got a call at work today from Barclaycard, they were just doing a security check on me. They said i should hear within 7 - 10 days.

Is this a good thing or bad?

Think it is 50/50 for a card!!!!

    Will let you know
  • i have a barclaycard card, although i must say that i have been waiting what seems ages for my statement (without the first statement you cant set up an online account).
