Current account with SMS

I'm currently with Cahoot, who send me a remarkably useful text about a day after the transaction has appeared on-line saying "somthing's left your account", or "somthing's gone into your account" if it's over a certain limit. Slightly better, they send me one saying that i've got 10 days to pay my credit card.

Do any other banks offer more information - I'm really looking for a description, ammount & maybe balance?

A few years ago I was working with a chap from Hungary, and he had exactly this service. Usually got the text as he was signing the slip. Impressive!

First Direct do text banking, I just have a weekly statement and a message if a certain amount enters or leaves, there are a few choices but you would have to check exactly what they can offer, https://www.firstdirect.com

As well as the options mentioned above you can get First Direct to text you when you account hits a certain amount, eg getting close to your overdraft limit.
