£907.05 Goodwill Gesture from Barclays!!

I have just noticed that I received a goodwill gesture of £907.05 from Barclays 'Preston Fishergate'. As yet I have not received any notification from them regarding this payment, I simply sent off the 1st letter (data protection one) about 40 days ago so that I could start my bid to reclaim my charges.
Have many others experienced this?
I am assuming that they have done this to keep my happy, and that I could probably reclaim, much, much more, so I am going to send the appropriate letter by registered post tomorrow to say that I intend to pursue the matter and that my case must be kept open....
Its a good start though! Or can they take the money out of my account if I don't accept it as full and final????
Many thanks

We are seeing a few people get that. They can't offer full and final settlements either so you can persue them for the rest.0 -
In business, if a customer is late paying or has said they are struggling to pay and make an offer - i always say accept it but state in writing, very clearly, that it is not in full and final settlement. You could maybe cheekily offer them a few months to pay the outstanding balance between what you are due and what they have paid.
Having said that this is certainly not advice relating to bank charge claim - I don't know if this is sound advice regarding the banks, we all know they'll do what they can to get out of paying money back to people!Negative equity of £100k. including the mortgage
