Find the cheapest petrol station near you

Great advice on how to save on fuel. One thing to remember - just be sure that your fuel station is giving you full measure, 1p 'discount' is not much if your down 3% by volume. Find a garage/chain you can trust and stick to them!

These garages are inspected by Trading Standards on a regular basis. I'm confused too!

Tesco in Ystrad Mynach was recently heavily fined for dispensing less petrol than displayed. They wrote to customers who used their clubcards offering them something silly like 20 pence refund, which if not collected would go to charity.

You need to spend thousands to buy your very own graduated copper jugs/pails just like Trading Standards. Then you pump the fuel into the jugs, measure them and then decant the fuel into your fuel filler, possibly spilling some over your new shoes and suit.
