black web database?

Hi all,

Over the last couple of days my computer has been freezing while booting up (on the "windows xp" screen) and i have to turn it off at the back of the computer and start again...

...also when i finally get in an error message is there saying something like "blackweb database out of date. Please exit and re-install" ???

Could these be linked? And what the heck is this blackweb database? Any help would be much appreciated ;D

I suspect it's some scumware on your machine, download adaware & spybot to clean your machine up.

Blackweb BTW seems to be related to internet dating.

Thanks for that....i can honestly say i've not signed up to any internet dating thingys by the way! 8)

if i download one of the applications you suggested will that clear it up automatically?

EDIT: just noticed i've got an anti-spyware thing already. It wasn't loaded though! I'll see if that can clear it up

It's best to have both of them installed, but you'll have to do some setting up before you can use them - it's not too difficult and I'm sure a hunt around here will tell you how to use them.

I'm assuming you have a firewall & anti-virus software running as well.

I've got F-secure Anti-Virus running and it came with ad-monitor that i've just loaded up as well
