BHS excellent customer services

I've moaned about bad service on here before so I'm delighted to give credit where it is due...in this case to BHS for excellent customer care.
I had a BHS standard lamp which gave up the ghost after about 3 years. Had no guarantee or receipt or packing left. The thing went pop one day leaving scorch marks on the halogen bulb bholder. It was a decent piece of gear which ahd cost about £80 so I emailed BHS who said they'd like to take a look as they were concerned about the safety implications. After a brief email exchange they agreed that posting didn't make much sense and said I could take it into my local shop ( Norwich )to forward it.
The staff there were incredibly helpful and despite the age of the lamp and the lack of documentation they agreed it was one of theirs ans said they would replace it (all their lighting has a 3 year guarantee apparently). The model I wanted was no longer stocked but they offered me my choice of similar current models, which were all actually a bit nicer. They didn't have one in stock. The manage said that if a nearby store had one he would stop in on his way to work and pick it up for me! The nearby stores were also out of stock so they ordered me one. It arrived today and is now taking pride of place and working jsut fine.
Throughout the BHS staff were a pleasure to deal with, polite, friendly, helpful and eager to sort out the situation; very different from some stores who don't want to know aboput problems once they've got your money. I shall be shopping there more in future. Thanks guys (and girls).

Just because somebody is certain doesn't mean they are right!
