Ive never had to share each folder on a drive I have selected to share. I share my CD and DVD drives as well as an Image drive and my e and F hard drives. All of mine show up in My Network Places and because I mapped them they are in my computer as well. I have never had to do the Command line stuff either. All I ever do to add a comp to the network is run the network setup wizard and make sure the domain name is the same and Hey Presto everything shows up.

Just done this last week and was hitting my head of the wall as it all went great until I tried to set up my printers for sharing too.

Turned out that my Norton Firewall was blocking and as soon as it was reconfigured all was well. So if you are want to print from a lappy that's not actually directly connected to the printer...maybe check if a firewall is blocking you?

(I realise this isn't exactly what the ot was....it was just an added thought. :))

Hi, as aliasojo has just said it could be your firewalls if you have them running on your laptops. If you do try disabeling them and try to share again.
